About Us
One day an auto painter by the name of Eddie Potter set out to find a better way to remove dirt and small insects such as Gnats from wet clear coat. He wanted something that wouldn't scratch the base coat for example, digging it out with a toothpick, razor blade or anything else that might dig in a little to far, causing you to have to start over. After a lot of thinking, experimenting and trial and error, he finally decided that vacuuming it out was the best way to go. So, the Gnat Vac idea was born. Two years ago, Potter started a company called Gnat Vac and set up a shop in his home town Maryville TN where the tool is assembled and boxed.
Below, tools are being gauged for maximum suction.

One of the many steps in the building of the tool.
